360Magazine/Venice
Welcome to 360Magazine/Venice!
First a small warning. We are currently doing a major update of our website. Everything is being changed and all old content with thousands of 360-images is removed to make room for all new content based on our new design format 360Show. All our new productions will use this format as it is optimized for all major web browsers, including iPhone/iPad and Android devices. It also looks a lot nicer...
We are currently producing in 22 cities all over the world but we want to give you a taste of what it will look like. As all image content will be produced from scratch it will take some time until full functionality is reached.
Today we will only load 3 properties, Conrad Maldives, Hilton Venice and Hilton Madrid to show you what to expect when each destination is "full". Today the category list with hotels, restaurants, bars & clubs and museums is disabled until enough highlighted partners are selected and produced. Please enjoy and send us your feedback...
__________
Venice is a city in northern Italy renowned for the beauty of its setting, its architecture and its artworks. It is the capital of the Veneto region and 270,000 people reside in Venice's comune but only around 60,000 live in the historic city of Venice.
Venice is unique in many ways and has a great historic and architectural value. Venice has been given many names such as "City of Water", "City of Masks", "City of Bridges", "The Floating City", and "City of Canals".
Venice has been called the most beautiful city built by man and is also considered being one of Europe's most romantic cities.
The city stretches across 117 small islands and was a major maritime power during the Middle Ages and Renaissance and was an important center of commerce (especially silk, grain and spice trade) and art in the 13th century up to the end of the 17th century.
The layout of the city is very special and is perfect for walking. Small boats and boat taxis is an efficient way of transportation. For the romantics the gondola is the obvious choice.
Venice has many bars, cafés and restaurants, as well as museums and attractions. Shopping is also good with plenty of local souvenirs as well as all the international brands.
Many hotels are rather small in Venice but the Molino Stucky Hilton Venice is an exception. It is the former home of the Molino Stucky Flour Mill. Abandoned for 50 years this is now renovated into a fantastic hotel with large convention capacity.
The unique history, the contemporary design and spectacular location make this one of the finest hotels we have produced and an obvious property to feature on 360CityGuide.
The boat taxi from the airport is the perfect way to arrive and well worth the fare.
